Steven White sends this very nice Silver Ghost picture and adds: " Vivian Frederick Seal, was for many years chauffeur to Malcolm Campbell. During the First World War he was an army chauffeur driving staff cars during which time he was awarded the Croix de Guerre in 1918 while serving as a Private in the Army Service Corps. This is likely to be when he learnt his trade so the photograph probably shows him at the wheel after the conflict – but the passenger isn't Malcolm Campbell. The date of the vehicle may help date the picture, but who is the passenger and what type of car?"
editor: Well Steven, it is clearly a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost - possibly built around 1919-192o with a striking long lined tourer coachwork. Wouldn't it be wonderful if our esteemed readers can come up with a more precise ID & dating. We will await your response.
