George Nica recently found this Skoda popular. Nothing amazing about that and he neede lots of parts for his other Skoda project. After trailering in the car to his hoem the big surprise came. Underneathe Skoda skin a full Fiat 501 was hiding. A cunning craftman had shortened the chassis and stretched the Skoad body. Also the original 18" wheels are modified to 16" (don't try this at home!). The Czecho-Italian cocktail must have been made after WW2, when lots of cars were claimed by army and government. George likes to learn more about the origins of the Fiat underneath and hopes to find acces to factory records in order to check the engine serial number. |
