Austin - Kegresse in Russia, 1916
For a long time it was believed that the car in these pictures is a Russo-Baltique. This famous brand of Russia showed its strengths in various competitions, racings, mountain climbing up mount Vesuvius in Italy and in the 1912 Monaco rally 1912.  French inventor Adolphe Кegresse, who lived in Russia for a long time, designed the driveline for the Russo-Baltique. Interstingly only recently was found that the photo shows an English Austin, presumably -  a 50HP model ( editor: the US made Austin we suppose...?). This discovery was made possible through co-authors from Russia and Germany. Who can add to this intriguing story?
