Within a few consecutive hours we received the same set of photos from Ed Fallon and Arnoud van der Sman. This mystery engine turned up in a Californian warehouse and is so far not indentified. Due to the compact size (see dimensions) we would not be surprised if this is of french making, but don't take our word for that. We even tend to think of theis very rare french cyclecarmake that produced a handful of six cylinders in the blate twenties (no not Amilcar), but keep in mind this is strictly speculative. Anyway this engine has no id-plate and no makers name, only the marking on the head # 308 and on the oilpan # 13427. We are most curious to hear which name you will coem up with. |
