1906 Alcyon

We like the thin topping of snow on the little French car, so we thought the day before Christmas is the right moment to bring up this query by William Meadus:
"This is my 1906 Alcyon, not yet completely restored. It has a single cylinder engine with three speed transmission, kerosene headlamps, brass fuel tank behind the seats. The only number I can find  is #498 stamped on the engine housing. It has the licence number #490CN54 on front. I would love to know where I can find more information and possibly photos of another Alcyon of this vintage."

William also sends this front view and a close up of the radiator. William did not add info regarding the round patent plate (text: BREVET  #285.753 / 7 Février 1899, Licence No. 1537). We checked with expert Fons Alkemade who says that the basics of the car seem ok. He was less impressed by the body and radiator. He presumes the radiator is either home made or maybe has an agricultural background. Anybody who recognises the radiator or can add to the identity of  this Alcyon? The closest we could find is this 1905 7-8 HP.
