My uncle´s cyclecar was a....?

A few months ago, a friend sent me the interesting picture of above. He was interested to know about this car photographed at an airport, being the only info given that was his uncle´s sports car.  The purpose of his request was to recreate a scale model of the car, as this man, called Javier Adeva, is a skilled model maker. As soon as I received the photo I realised that the car was a 1920s Austin Seven Brooklands, but fitted with some "extra parts" as the uncommon hubcaps. I asked him for more photos, and surprisingly he did. A few showing the very same car (number plate M-45.658), but also two others showing yet another Austin Seven Brooklands, with number plate M-42.806, one of them taken inside a bull fighting arena! Javier started then to investigate his family´s archives, and finally appeared the answer to his uncle´s many Austins: His ancestors were the Austin agents in Madrid. And they imported many Brooklands models to Spain, as we have discovered in other interesting period archives. Finally, with the help of the many photographs, Javier was able to create an accurate scratch built model of his uncle´s Austin Seven. Including details of the engine and interior. Really, a beautiful tribute. Born form half forgotten history files.
