The pictures accompanying these words lines were found in an old Spanish newspaper dating from 1924. the clipping contained an interesting report about the Barcelona Motor Show celebrated in February, with accurate explanations marque by marque. In the case of the well known French engine producer Scap, there were two pictures of the car displayed at the stand. The text made reference to "The new 6 cv model, with a four cylinder engine ( bore/stroke 62x91), with overhead valves and an oil sump made in aluminium". Also a bit more about the chassis, and the gearbox, all of relative conservative design for the period... but how about the body? The avant garde design and aerodynamics seem to be part of a special development. Perhaps a "one off" created only to be a marketing stunt for the Barcelona show? Or a racing vehicle for the marque´s official team? A special Barcelona made body? The old newspaper article does not spend a single syllable to this striking design, and due to the lack of other information we haven´t been able to discover more about the "aerodynamic 6cv Scap". Perhaps our well educated readers can shed light on this exotic...
