The car in last week's quiz is a 1913 Meteorite and this image of another 1913 model helped us identify the date - the registration numbers being just 5 digits apart. Initially named Meteorite Motors Ltd. until 1921 when they re-named the company Meteorite Cars Ltd which finally closed in October 1924.
The company concentrated on making munitions during WWI and in 1919 the works was taken over by the firm of coachbuilders Strachan and Brown who not only made the coachwork for the car but also handled the sales. You can read more HERE.
