This is the start of a veteran week, this in view of the London-to-Brighton Veteran Car Run next weekend. So we start with a quiz regarding a car that was made at the turn of the last century. It is a car with a long history. Her name is Peggy and she has been all over. No matter her fragile appearance she participated in dozens of London to Brighton runs, going back to as far as 1927(!) at least. Now for most LtB cars that rally is the Big One. Not so to Peggy, for her the road down to Brighton is a short warming up. In the sixties she participated in London to Eddingburgh. And on yet another trip she took the steamer to Australia to test her chassis and 6HP on the 1000 Miles of from Melbourne to Sydney! To give you some final hints the marque you need to look for has its roots in two countries, yet as far as we know the fine & sturdy motorcar is in Britain since ages. Well that's all folks. Enjoy your weekend and let google do the work for you. Or did you already recognise her without any aid? Please be frank and tell us all about her. Make, Yer Type and whatever trivial knowledge you may have about the car. However before you post, be sure to read The Rules under Read More.
