Stever Kertin, form Wisconsin USA contacted us that he like to locate a waterpump for his Packard Truck project. The photos and story that came with his request made our jaws drop. The photo above and the first two below show the 1912 truck when it was saved from Nagwicka lake in 1958 where it had remained since 1921! The following photos show what he finally bought through the web and before he really started to work on the massive project. Then the "block" of the engine. Steve is now in the proces of rebuilding the chassis: "I did not want to fill in all the dimples on the frame due to the trucks interesting history of sitting on the bottom of lake Nagawicka here in Wisconsin from 1921-1958. I had the good fortune to meet the diver who discovered the old truck. I invited him and a fellow ATHS member to garage to see it. He loved seeing it again. the last few pictures are of the truck as it was being brought up from the lake." Now the first engine issue is that Steve needs - surprise, surprise !!! - a waterpump. We're sure he'll post a wanted advert soon. But if you have one yoiu can either call him or we will pass on the message. Steve Kersten, Watertown, Wisconsin usa, ph. 920-253-6210 cell |
