Adlers little helpers.
Only a few days before Christmas, so you may be dreaming of a white Christmas like Bing Crosby did in 1942. And yes, in some parts of the world the world is white. We enjoyed driving our Riley earlier and reported about it. After this, we received quite some good photos of other crazy car nuts who were slipping around.

One of the emails came from Manfred Schleißing, who had not only a car day out but also had a lovely family day. Just like Santa, he had some very good little helpers. His two daughters were of very good help to plowed the Adler through the snow. His daughters were the stars of the day as it wasn't easy to drive.

The car he is driving is a 1936 Adler Trumpf Junior Sport. Between April 1935 and May 1936 about 295 Adler Trumpf Junior Sport had been built in the Sports Dept. of the Adlerwerke, Frankfurt. On a standard Trumpf Junior front wheel drive chassis, a traditional sports body with aluminium panels over ash frame were built. Engines with 25, 28 or 30 PS were available. On special request, Adler fitted a JD Compressor which boosted the side valve 998 cc engine to 36 PS. Ivory, green, blue were standard colours, however, silver and red were available on special request.

This specific Adler Trumpf Junior Sport was built in April or May 1936 and delivered to the Danish Adler importer in Copenhagen. It passed through the hands of several Danish owners from 1937-1980 when it was reimported to Germany. Last month, Manfred made the first test drive after 45 years of standstill. According to him, it is pure fun to drive!!

Enjoy the rides with your helpers Manfred!
