Tired of the same old same old?

A different kind of auction?

The sophisticated and eclectic automotive tastes of Manny and George Dragone are always apparent in the cars they bring to shows and the vehicle list at Dragone Auctions' May 31 auction (an unusual Friday-only sale) strongly emphasizes that point. Manny and George must have been bloodhounds in a previous life, as they are able to "sniff-out" more rare and unique cars than just about anyone else. This sale features the expected '30s Classics like Duesenberg, Packard, Rolls-Royce, and Cadillac, but the earlier items are much more unusual. How about a 1904 Cyklon? Or a 1907 Columbia Electric? Have you even heard of a 1913 Broc electric? Then there's a 1931 Hanomag coupe and a 1944 NSU Kettenrad motorcycle halftrack! Plus a number of other rarely-seen pre-'20s vehicles, big and small. If you've tired of seeing the same old same old come across the auction block, be sure to put the Dragone's 2013 Spring Auction in Westport, CT, on your calendar.
