About Quiz #348: 1935 DKW Schwebeklasse Limousine Type 4 = 8This time the subject of the quiz has been a car which was bought by its present owner via this very same website. The car belonged to a little museum located in Aachen and took part in some film recordings. In its past life the car was used in an Allied base in Germany and was converted into a pick up from an original Sedan-Limousine (not a Cabrio-Limousine as many readers suggested), as you can see in photo 2. The car wears still an original "blackout" (photo 3), VW beetle hubcaps and the doors panel made in alu, a not original feature probably made during the II World War using old plane parts. Many correct and short answers came about this rare DKW model, and some of them arrived the first of July, too late to be rewarded, as happened with Daniel Reuben´s good answer. After studying carefully many right answers that included many technical data (1054cc, 4cylinder 2stroke, 32 PS, two carburetors Solex 26 BFH, 4-speed manual transmission with freewheel, Wheelbase: 2,850 mm , Length: 4,300 mm , Width: 1,590 mm and Height: 1,560 mm) we decided that the winner is Peter Öhrn, especially because his accurate explanation of the model year. He told us  “It's a DKW Schwebeklasse Limousine Type 4 = 8. Model year should be 1934 to 1936, since the wipers are fixed to bottom edge of the windscreen. In 1937 they were placed up. You see through the windscreen that there should be a Limousine. The doors are hinged at the front edge, which also was changed in 1937”. Congratulations and don´t relax, surely next week will be more difficult.
