Nick Simpson writes: "This is believed to be the inside of Pollards Garage, Chelmsford, Essex in the 1920's. I found this period photo in one of my father's files. He came from Essex. Interesting picture - there are 3 Rover's so perhaps Pollards were agents for them. The real gem is the breakdown truck, presumably cut down from a big old car - the way it was done in those days! Anyone know what make it is? The saloon Rover TW452 looks a real luxury model complete with a period external orientable spot light."

For the ease of working let's number the cars from left to right, starting with the little sports as Nr. 1, nr. 2 being the towing truck, nr.3 the Drophead, nr. 4 the Austin Seven (type?), nr. 5 the open Tourer, nr.6 the small tourer, nr. 7 the big Rover TW452.
