We decided to let the pictures speak for themselves. This year the 100 Miles of Amsterdam had its start at the picturesque 'Grote Markt' (market square) of Haarlem, where editor Joris Bergsma did the count-down. From there on the route went to the first stop at classic car restorer Ab van Egmond, where competitors were treated to a welcoming drink.

Pressed for time we decided to skip the control posts in the centre of Amsterdam and drove straight on to the control post at the premises that once belonged to the Dutch importer of Citroën. Sadly Citroën has left the buildings and now it's not clear yet whether they will be demolished or refurbished as offices. In the meantime the deserted building proved itself very useful for a Hill Climb. And after signing in at the control it was back to the streets.

After another short stop at classic car dealer Paul Kok in Nieuw Vennep, then followed a nice drive to the Healey Museum, where they proudly showed their latest acquisition, the prototype Healey 100S Coupe, which had been the personal transport of Donald Healey. All night the weather had been fine. Unlike some previous years there was no snow, on the contrary almost spring temperatures. Although we did spot a few drops of rain now and then. Onwards again, until the finish at the 'Haarlemmermeerstation'. Time for Rest & Recreation!

UPDATE 2 :  see full results and winners

UPDATE 1 : take a video-sip of the atmosphere inside the former Citroen premises in Amsterdam! A visual and auditory treat..!
