Martin Shelley sends this intriguing photo of a racing car spotted by him at he Museum of the First World War at Diksmuide in Belgium. "There is no informative caption of this car picture, and obviously the car is an old competition car which has been pressed into military service and has subsequently suffered damage and is lying abandoned somewhere on the western Front in Belgium or northern France. It would be nice to identify the car positively. Maybe PreWarCar readers might help to recognise it." Our first thought was the car being a Peugeot GP, yet probably there are many arguments against that theory. So please fire your guns and give us your opinion.
