To celebrate fifteen years of PreWarCar there was a small reception during the Concours d’Elegance at Het Loo. And when we say it was in the wet, we mean that quite literally, as it was wet outside the PreWarCar stand as well as inside. While the rain poured down, several bottles of bubbles were opened to toast Joris’ continuing effort to bring us our daily dose of both prewar and postwar stories. There were also gifts, more champagne in the form of a huge card as well as a life size bottle.
A few weeks ago we asked you what kind of memorabilia you had kept from the past 15 years. We received several pictures, from the 5 year celebration sticker still on Ruud de Pater’s LandRover to several early T-Shirts from Chris Paulsen. But only yours truly wore the very first T-Shirt, a gift at the Beaulieu Autojumble way back in 2003. Still very original and in mint condition, it reads: “Are you old enough for a PreWarCar”.
Cheerio Joris, on to the next 15 years!
