Fresh in from Morocco, a few highlights from Wico Mulders' photo report covering the first days of "Peaks of the Atlas", a rally for - primarily - pre-war motorcars. Without indulging ourselves in tourist brochure writing, we cannot deny that the landscapes and old towns are 'fabulous' and 'breathtaking'. Time seems to have parked here since the days these cars were built or even longer. The participants still have some 1000 miles more of this waiting to be explored this weekend and next week. They will cross several 'interesting' passes in the Atlas mountains and near the Algerian borders. Maybe we should consider to do similar. Quit our job, receive a nice pension, prepare a big fat car and take off. Oh the joy of daydreaming! The Moroccan Challenge, until November 23. |
