The charming lady approached our stand with an air of 'savoir vivre'. You should know she is a painter and all this play of old man with old cars probably was beyond her scope of interest. Well at least that was our first impression. There was no way to look around her most impressive designer necklace in silver or white gold. And believe it or not nobody around her thought for a second that she was wearing the damaged headlamp ring of a 1929 Chrysler Model 75. So far for first impressions... We found that Nelly Peters and her husband Wim in fact are very active in pre-war rallying. The 100 Miles, Pre-War Via Flaminia, Peaks of the Atlas (Moroco) and many, many more, as long it's fun and fast and pre-war. The headlight of their Chrysler suffered from a small mishap somewhere on the way and needs replacement and so she thought I'll wear it during the Maastricht show as a conversation piece. And it worked! Now we only hope that you will reach out and tell Mrs. Peters where to find a new necklace, err... a new headlight ring.
