..because somebody already (barn) found it long time ago. But instead of carrying the complete restoration which the car deserves, the owner preferred to put it in a static display, surrounded by all kind of plants to recreate an "as found" scene. The idea isn´t too bad, do you imagine something like that inside your office? or in the corner of your -large- sitting room? Perhaps a smaller and less valuable car like a Citroen 5CV or an Austin Seven would fit better anywhere and could solve many problems to the wifes... Anyway, the car under the artificial forest is a rare Rosengart Supertraction Cabriolet from the late 1930s, a desirable and stylish car which carries the Citroen Traction mechanicals. Only a few of these were made before the beginning of the II World War (and even few after the War, with V8 engines) , so despite the bad shape of this unit it could be a good candidate to restoration or even elegance concours. However, for the moment there are no plans of change for this static Rosengart. |
