Sophia is writing: "We are researching the life of one of our ancestors who fought in WW1. We have found two picture of him in cars. First was taken in Exmouth in 1915 and the Second in Cylon in 1914. Can you help identify the Cars? Kind Regards Sophia " Sure we like to help Sophia, yet something went wrong with the upload of the second photo. Can you send that directly to info # prewarcar.com (exchanging # for @). Regarding the first photo. We see two proud young officers posing with their a nifty little machine or voiturette. It appears the radiator has a rounded V-shape. The door runabout body are shwoing an elegant full flow from front to rear. However the exact shape of the rear end of the car is not clear to us. We're sure there are some readers out there who can help. Update: the first car seems to be a 1912-13 Lagonda (check Light Auto) Amazing to see that the small thumbnail still was clear enough to recognise the 1904-05 Piccolo. |
