As you know we encourage the to get the youngstes on board of your car. That's the way to keep the tradition and hobby alive. Here we have a fine example of a father who did so 6 decades back! The youngster at the wheel - Gary Cornillaud - is still driving the Gray Dort.
Gary reports: "This 1917 Gray Dort, manufactured in Chatham, Ontario was purchased by my father in 1953 and restored in time for participation at the 1954 Old Car Festival. I am sitting in the car in the BW photo at that event. It has remained in the family ( see it in current condition) and is driven on a regular basis in warm weather. It can be seen at the Greenfield Village Old Car Festival on the first weekend after labor day at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, MI."
Let us know when your parents encouraged you to take the wheel of the old family car and when you still own it.
