Our quiz car Nr. 362 is not an every day sight. Far, very far from that. Still we received answers from Alan Spencer, Kieran White, Graeme Jarrett, Ariejan Bos and Garcia Yannick all with the correct make Roydale. The man that financed the 'Roydale' project was A E Learoyd, a textile manufacturer, of Huddersfield. Roydale is an anagram of his surname. The engineer was Charles Binks, reasonably well-known for his Binks carburettors, and before the Roydale project he had designed and built the 'Leader' cars in Nottingham.
Two competitors, being Kieran White and Yannick Garcia were spot on with 1907 Roydale 18-22HP ! However to our not very small surprise the very best answer to this British 'insiders car' came in (with correct Make, Year & Typ + extras) from France!
" We especially liked that he mentioned the fact that our quiz car is equiped with a Binks carburettor. Felicitations!-Congratulations! Yannick Garcia.
